Tyler Matthew Ward Smith, 20, of Manchester, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the beloved son of Carrie L. Pinney of Manchester. Tyler was a spark of light to all who knew him, had a great sense of humor and was great with impressions. He was Lead Bass in the Silk City Chorus and was an avid Harry Potter and Power Rangers fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his grandparents, Barry and Patricia Pinney of Manchester; his Memere Aurella Masse of Coventry; his aunt Melanie Pinney of Tampa, FL; a special great-aunt Kathy Purvis of Manchester; great-aunts and uncles, Karen and Dr. Mike Conway of Rhode Island, Brian and Joan Pinney of N. Windham; and his great-grandparents Arthur Pinney of Hebron, Aurele & Evelyn Masse and Jack & Jackie Allee of Coventry. He is also survived by his ‘nerd herd,’ Connor, Ken, Joey, Ricky and Eren, numerous cousins and extended family members and friends of all ages.
Family and friends may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. A memorial service with the Silk City Chorus and shared memories will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
