Jean Brennan Cordy, 90, of Manchester, CT, died Sunday, September 12th, at the home of her daughter, Barbara.
She was born in New Britain, CT on March 29th, 1931, the daughter of Mary Wall and Patrick Brennan.
Jean was endlessly kind, patient, and warm. Quietly strong, stubborn, and fierce, she valued her independence and lived on her own until the last few months of her life. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Jim, John and Leo Brennan, Lillian Sherman, Shirley McGann, and Catherine Davidson; and her children, Colleen Martin, and Kathleen and David Cordy.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Cele and Dave Krinjak; her daughter, Barbara Quagliano; her son-in-law, Al Martin; her grandchildren, Jay and Ashley Quagliano, Amber, Courtney and Brittany Martin, and Jason, Ian, Tyler and Seth Cordy; several beloved nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren; as well as her life-long friend, Lauretta Coolidge.
Special thanks goes out to the hospice nurses who provided invaluable care to Jean in her final months.
