Obituary of Gary A. Grunder

Gary A. Grunder, 76, of Bolton, the husband of the late Antonia “Toni” Grunder died on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Fox Hill Center, Vernon.  Born in Manchester, he was the son of the late William and Delores (Topping) Grunder and had lived in Bolton for many years.  He was a US Navy Veteran and had retired from the Town of Manchester Board of Education Buildings and Grounds after many years of service.  He was a longtime member of the Manchester Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E 1893 and the Washington Social Club.  He is survived by his sisters Patricia Miller of South Windsor and Ellen Sullivan of Port St. Lucie, FL; his uncle and aunt, Walther and Georgia Grunder; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend and loving caretaker (especially the last two years) Patricia Gibson of Bolton.  Her care was a blessing to Gary and his family - allowing him to be at home for as long as he could.
