I was very sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was a fine person and good friend. In the Manchester Hospital OR he was always ready to help especially for needs at the last minute; always with a good word and positive attitude, his presence provided a sense of calm as we prepared for surgery and then at the end of the case as well.
After being with Marlene his smile was always brighter and he had an extra energy in his step!
I'll miss talking UConn basketball with Ed as well.
He will be missed.

Dear Marlene,
I am so sorry for you loss! I don't know of anyone who didn't love and respect Ed. You and Ed were always there in anyone's time of need.!
Ed loved his job and was a devoted and hard worker. His calm manner was very reassuring to his patients and their families. He will be greatly missed! Rest is peace Ed, until we all meet again.

I can't say enough about the love, kindness, caring person Ed was to me. We shared many great times as neighbors and became fast friends. Ed would do anything for anyone. A great quality in today's selfish world. Marlene and Ed were there for me as our dear friend I cared for passed. I can't count the times we shared a laugh with him. From the hospital where he brought ribs for Eris or them coming over for a dinner or just come and sit and share the day with us. We just laughed and enjoyed their company. There wasn't a time or hour that if you needed Ed he wasn't there. He always called me kiddo I'm going to miss that. Ed I know is in heaven because he had a servant heart. God given "a servants heart" thru his career, to his wife, friends and even her fur babies. His cats loved him. I don't know of anyone that knew Ed didn't love him. He was joyful, loving, kind to all he came across. He loved and provided for many but Marlene had his heart. Going to miss you my brother from another mother, I'll see you in heaven. I'm sure you've introduced Eris to your mom and dad and your all having a great time. Love you in my heart til we met again.
