Obituary of Edward P. Bielski

Edward "Ed" P. Bielski, 66, beloved husband of Marlene, of Manchester, passed away at Hartford Hospital on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Ed graduated from Manchester High School and went on to work at Manchester Memorial Hospital for the past 47 years, while working in various positions, most recently as a PCA/Anesthesia Assistant. During his employment with MMH, Ed graduated from the CNA program. For many years Ed would look forward to playing Santa Claus for the MMH holiday party, he was also a dedicated volunteer at the Manchester Road Race for almost 40 years and enjoyed every bit of it.

In Ed's free time, he and his loving wife, Marlene, simply enjoyed each other's company as well as gardening, antiquing, and cooking. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Red Sox, NY Giants and the UCONN basketball teams. They spent many summers vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard Island, where they were married.

Besides his loving wife of 26 years, Marlene and his furbaby, he is survived by his siblings Anna Salo (Ken), John Bielski, Jane Harty (Robert) and Cecelia Bodo; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary.
