Mrs. Callahan was one of those teachers you never forget and always fondly remember. Her classroom at Nathan Hale was a warm, safe, joyful place where we all felt loved and encouraged. I worked one-on-one with Mrs. Callahan for a few years and will forever be grateful for the kindness and support she showed me, even after I "graduated" to middle school. To her family, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss, and my heartfelt gratitude for sharing her with generations of Manchester schoolchildren. Our world is so much better for having had her in it.

I was very sorry to learn of Gail's passing. I worked with her for many years at Nathan Hale. She was a great friend and colleague, universally loved by staff and students alike. I enjoyed reconnecting with her on Facebook. She will be missed by so many. My deepest sympathies to her family.
